I have a new 625PC enroute to me from a GunBroker deal and have been looking for replacement grips, does this revolver take round or square frame style grips?

Round butt revolver. Most all current production S&W are round butt. In fact, I think they all are.
I recommend Ahrends or Altamont Grips.
ALTAMONT
Here is the link to Altamont, just select N frame (Your 625 is an N Frame):

If there is a current S&W grip you like, chances are Altamont makes them. They make most current production S&W grips including the red white and blue ones on your 625. But they have very few grips pictured on their website. Just call them and tell them which grip you want and they will take the order and you will have your grips in 4 days.

If you order directly from Ahrends, there is a 12 week wait! There is a guy on Ebay that has hundreds of sets of Ahrends grips up there. Just go to ebay and search "Ahrends N" (Your 625 is an N Frame). Here is the ebay link to that search:

If you prefer square, you can buy the grips labeled round to square conversion to get the square look.

Thanks for the info, I thought I would be happy with some black rubber then I looked at the links you provided, now I'm really confused.

If you plan on carrying you should not put rubber grips on the gun. Rubber sticks to everything and your gun will show every time you stand up and sit down because the grips will stick to your shirt. If your gun doesn't show, your shirt will bunch up on the rubber and it will be obvious you are carrying.

I would either take this person up on the offer or buy a set of rubber grips (goodyears) to start with. It's an easy way to start shooting the gun and allows you to park the "cool" grips that the gun comes with. Plus, the gun looks good with goodyears. Then you can take your time and get some grips you like for whatever your intended purpose is. Personally, I never got any further than the goodyears. They fit my hand well and I only use the gun for range shooting.
