Finally scratched the .44 Magnum itch

Won my first auction this afternoon on GB. Now the waiting begins to get her in my hands - it’s gonna be a long few days.

Anyone know about when the ship date might be?

629-3
Serial number: BFF05xx
A couple pics from the listing:

Smith had ceased shipping in the wood boxes probably about 10 years before yours was made, so you get a bonus there!

Great looking gun. I have a full lug barrel 629 Classic that I like a lot. Great gun.

My 629-3 Classic is a round butt, but those look like S&W factory square butt grips. Is it a square butt revolver?

I have a 629-3 hunter and it is a square butt {non fluted, full under-lug, 6 inch}

AHHH.....629-3
my neighbor has a 629-3 and so do I
His has a round butt and a fluted cylinder with the black powder bevel
mine is a square butt with a non-fluted cylinder and no bevel

mine has a patridge silhouette site
his has the interchangeable front site {spring loaded}

Mine is not drilled and taped for scope mounts and his is

both guns are full under lug

his is a 5 inch barrel and mine is a 6 inch

seems as thought the dash 3 covers a lot of ground and not really sure of any absolutes .
