I recently purchased Model 64-5 that came from the Georgia Department of Corrections. When cycling the action three of the consecutive chambers bind, making it a little difficult to cycle the action. Also when any of these same three chambers are under the hammer, the cylinder won't unlatch to swing out. With the remaining three chambers everything works fine.
Ive checked the B/C gap and the binding isn't occurring there. I've disassembled the entire revolver, including th3 cylindervanr crane, cleaned and checked everything and found nothing.
Any suggestions?

Many things could be causing this. Most likely run out on the extractor rod, a misfit or improperly fit interface between the front locking bolt and the end of the extractor rod, excessive end shake, misalignment of the yoke barrel, or barrel extension and cylinder face binding at the B/C gap.

Yoke barrel misalignment causes the center pin to bind in the center pin cavity in the breechface. Excessive end shake (over .002") can cause the cylinder to move forward in the assembly, and bind on the front locking bolt. The barrel cylinder gap should be around .004".
