There hasn't been much showing up in my local shops as far as any older S&W stuff for awhile which is actually good since work has been slow and I didn't need to be buying anyway.
This week one of the LGS had a few good items, A really nice 657 that sold quick, 2 model 59s that have had some use and the model 64 I picked up.
I plan to go back later this week and look over the 59s if they are still there.

There was one at the Lakeland show this past weekend, $850. Joe
Wow, prices are definitely going up every week seems like.
The model 657, 41 magnum that was in the store sold very fast for $950.

I love that old pencil barrel 64. I found one cheap a few years ago and sometimes carried it while cutting grass. My son had been rabbit hunting and was cleaning rabbits while I was mowing the grass. I was on the back side of my little 23 acre farm when a nice cane cutter stood up and looked at me. I was about 40-50 yards away from it and decided to take a shot anyway. I made a good head shot and threw it on top of the mower and drove it back up to the cleaning bench behind my house. "Here's you another one to clean." The last pencil barrel 64 I saw for sale was at a nearby show. The guy wanted $300.00. I should have bought it right then but I went to find my son and see if he wanted it. He did, but by the time I got back to the guy's table it was gone.

Admittedly I'm not the sharpest knife in the, uh, place where they keep the knives, but I had to Google "cane cutters" images and started to get concerned. Searching "canecutter" images helped to clear things up. :)
