Bought a model 49 no dash from a guy not too long ago & it has been a good gun. He has had a model 64 no dash 2 inch barrel for sale for about the last 3 months for $550.00. Gun has been polished, has non factory grips & nothing comes with it. Seems like he told me when I bought the model 49 that the 64 was a prison gun (Calif?) but not sure & not sure if it marked as such. I'm thinking of offering him $450.00 for it. What would be a good price if it is or isn't a prison gun. Don't need it but you know how that goes.

I like m64's. Offer the $450, if he doesn't take it, offer to split the difference. Those are really nice revolvers.
CDC used a LOT of Model 64s. They used revolvers until very recently. If they were in fact CDC guns they should have a rack number on them somewhere. Very few of these were 2" but each prison (there were about 35 of them) had a few snubbies in stock, mostly for Investigative Services Unit use.
