Does a 2 inch model 64 with a square butt exist? If so does anyone have pictures of one?

Thanks,

Rumored, Not Substantiated.

I have heard rumors to that effect, but have never seen one. The same is true with the 4" Round Butt, Tapered Barrel 64-No Dash and -1 in .38 Spl.

Were I to encounter one of these guns, given the rarity and general lack of public documentation, unless it were in the original packaging, I would look askance until I could reach Roy Jinks to verify.

Happy Hunting.

If I found one without a price premium (same going price for a round butt version) I would buy it for a shooter even if I suspected a barrel swap. Getting it lettered would be icing on the cake. I think 64 snubbies are neat, fun, practical revolvers.

I don't believe any SQ butt model 64's were made.

Clarification..

I don't believe any SQ butt model 64's were made.

I'm sure you mean in the 2" barrel length, right? There are plenty of Square Butt " guns around.

The OP is probably right... odds are this is a rebarrel. Check the tapers where the barrel meets the frame. If the Donor was a Heavy Barrel the 2" tube profile will not quite match.

Yup, I meant I don't think they made a 2 inch barrel model 64 in sqaure butt.

Here's my 2 inch model 64 with the common round butt
