Model 640 no dash

I just picked up a Centinniall model 640 no dash serial# cen02xx

Is this an early model and is it a +p or +p+

It came with the original box as well.

Some but not all of the CEN prefix model 640s were marked "Tested for +P+" on the lower frame window. Apparently this is a reference to the Winchester 110 gr "Treasury" load in use at that time. Not sure if the factory ever stated it was +P rated, but isn't +P+ more than +P?

Yours is an early numbered one but they were not assembled or shipped in order, so it may or may not have the marking noted above. Hope this is helpful.
