I recently was at my local habit feeders store and bought a m649-4, for my wife. Most all my guns are my wife's ,"Honey, I'm home. I bought you something. I love you." My question, the m649-4, as I understand, was produced in .38 special. Why would Smith & Wesson produce the -4, when there was a m649 already in production as a .38/.357?
