Model 649 J frame 2" shoulder holster??

bringing my 1988 Model 649 2" in 38spl , back into service .
unable to find a company that makes a shoulder holster for the 649. Anyone know of one ?
I have had surgery and cannot wear a belt holster or fanny pack

Galco has one that carries the 640/642. I believe it may work with the 649.

I have an Alessi shoulder holster that carries my 49 just fine. In fact, it's a pretty unique rig from them. Many years ago, I spoke with Lou Alessi on the phone and requested a shoulder holster that carried my Colt CCO under my left arm and my S&W 49 under the right, instead of the normal magazine/ammo carrier. That way, when I went to work, I had my uniformed back up gun with me, as well as a decent sized fighting pistol as the primary for off-duty.

One of the best shoulder holsters I've ever had.

The Bianchi 209(?) shoulder holster has always been a favorite of mine.

Alessi uses a pull through snap in the trigger guard so it works with all j frames. Its also an awesome rig.

That's the detail I forgot to mention in my earlier post about the Alessi rig! It works great for the J frames.

kangaroocarry.com Has worked every day for me for 2 years. I either carry my 649-3 or my 640 38spl. in it. T-shirt first, holster, gun and 2 speed strips next, button down shirt (short or long sleave dependent on weather) last. Coat or vest when cooler. Extremely concealable. Maybe a little slow to draw, but Superman Rip the Buttons an option in an emergency. Sold my Bianchi after getting used to this. Some fiddling and adjusting to get it right. I was fortunate in that I did not have to change my attire at all with this holster. Works for me, may or may not for you.

Welcome to the Forum. The two shoulder holsters I use for my Model 649-0 are a Bianchi 9R and a Ken Null SMZ. Both carry the piece vertically with the barrel up and the butt downward. The Bianchi has been out of production for years, but can be found on on-site auction sites. The advantage of the Bianchi 9r (also known as the "Lightening") is that the holster can also be worn on the belt, and while in the shoulder holster mode, can be drawn by the left hand. The Null holster is made of all polymer materials, and can accommodate any barrel length J-frame revolver.
