The local gun shop has a 4" model 65-2 pinned and recessed, which appears to be in pretty much almost new condition, 3 of the chambers in the cylinder don't even have burn marks on them, I assume the factory must have test fired it only on every other chamber. As an added bonus they also have the factory original box with matching serial numbers.
I assume it was made in either the late 70's or early 80's.
Lock's up very tight, and the action seems a bit stiff ( maybe because it's new?)
Serial number 1D66xxx, can someone provide me a bit more exact year of manufacture? and approximate value?
I know most older S&W I've seen have had excellant smooth actions, any tips/advice how I might be able to smooth out the action on this, or will it wear in with use?
