This is my old driving rig from back in the day. Shoulder holsters to keep from getting fouled with the seatbelts, and frankly far more comfortable for hours in the car than my usual inside the waistband carry (bucket seats with high bolsters magnify this problem).
Why two guns? In addition to being balanced, it is a force multiplier. Anybody riding with me typically is a "gun person" but a revolver a universal tool. Does the person beside me know the manual of arms on a hammer drop SIG? Maybe, maybe not. But handing them a revolver means even if their skill set is limited to "stay down and stay put" they are able to defend themselves.
Besides, the Model 65 is about the fightingest revolver I own. The three inch tube conceals almost as easily as a two inch, but has a full length extractor stroke. The round butt is comfortable and easy to hide. Big enough to shoot well, small enough to conceal. Just about perfect!
