Anyone have any experience with the Model 650 .22 Magnum Rimfire Kit Gun. I'm thinking about picking one up from my local place, but I don't know much about it (other than what can be read in the SCSW). It looks cool with the 3" barrel, and I'm assuming it must be fun to shoot.

Thanks

I have owned one for years. It is LOUD, and very picky about what it likes to eat. .22 mag is not cheap to shoot any more. Mine likes the Remington 33 grain ammo best, which was never cheap to begin with. Top gun in the photo.

I bought 2 of them NIB when they were introduced. I was pretty excited until I shot one. It was LOUD!!! We chronographed it and got about the same velocity we could get from my 8-3/8 inch Model 17 that caught 75% less per cartridge.

It is compact and more powerful than a .22 LR with a 2 or 3 inch barrel.

While interesting, I think the M-651 with 4 inch barrl and adjustble sights is a better gun for most purposes.

I later sold the one we test-fired. I still have the other one I bought on 12-30-1987 unfired it it's box. I'd sell it for the right offer or trade.
