Model 66-2 Born on Date?

Had this 66-2 2.5" for a while which I purchased from a member on this site...He worked (I believe) at El Dorado Police Dept. in Arkansas...This was sold to me as the Police Chief's carry gun that occasionally was used during qualifications...I think early to mid '80's.


Serial # AHL3002 Can I get an estimated manufacture date? Thanks!

The three alpha SN's can be a bit difficult to pin down but 1984 or 1985 seems most likely.
