Model 66-3

Hey Guys,
I am looking for some expert advice and this seems like the right place. I have a Model 66-3 with 3" barrel that I will be selling. Of course my local gun dealer had no idea what this was worth. My question though is, how much will after market grips effect the price? It has Hogue rubber grips now. Should I try to find a set of wood grips?

Well, it wouldn't effect the price with me but I'm not what you'd call a collector in the purest sense of the word. Do you have any idea what you'd need to get for it? What kind of condition is it in? Can you post some pictures?

I am at work now but will be posting pics with pricing tomorrow. I was told it was in 90% condition but of course this is the same guy who wanted to buy it cheap. As compared to other guns I have seen I would say its better than that. I know it has not been shot much as I have had it for the last 10 years and only fired 12 rounds through it.

Oh man, that will sell here in a time interval measured in nanoseconds! As I'm sure others have said; feel FREE to PM me if you want to sell it!

The 3" type are pretty hard to find. Check and make sure it's not the more common 2.5" (measure from the end of the cylinder to the front of the barrel).

For the 'going prices', do a search on the 'guns for sale' threads - you'll see what I mean.

Oh, no, don't worry about the grips, or 'stocks', as they are known.

A better way to do it is to measure from the "front" of the cylinder to the "end" of the barrel.

A set of correct grips might run you what your local dealer offered for the gun. I see them going for (at least asking price) silly prices at the gun shows.
