Model 66 No Dash- CH hammer/trigger?

Sorry Folks but my SCSW is buried at the moment due to a recent move.

Anyone know of any factory installation of CCH hammer and trigger for early Model 66s?

I've seen a few over the years, almost all with TT/TH and I'm about to purchase an otherwise sweet example so equipped.

Occam's Razor would suggest these are post factory "upgrades " to the TT/TH configuration, but S&W has pulled part changes in small batches in other instances, like during model changes.

So whaddya know?

I've seen a bunch of early Model 66 revolvers with CCH target hammer and trigger, but they were all add-ons, not factory original.

I suppose it is possible they were special ordered for your specific gun but you'd need a letter to that effect to convince me.

AFAIK, all original 66 ND examples I have seen had either stainless or flash chromed hammer and trigger. Not saying they couldn't have case hardened H&T, but I've never encountered them.

I would dare to say the only factory 66s with the case hardened hammer and trigger is the 66-4 made in the mid 90s
