You've heard about the Wiley Clapp Ruger GP100, well this is the Sapo S&W Model 66. Why should Wiley Clapp have signature firearms and not me? HA!

Anyhow, I always come up here and enjoy everyone else's photos but I rarely post any of my own. (In all fairness, some of you take some very high quality pictures and I'm just not in your league - this is about the best I can do)

Here's a few I snapped of my 66 which I just got back with a couple minor mods: first a bead blasted finish; second, a tweaked C&S extreme duty rear sight; and finally, my favorite Pachmayers for the K-frame. It makes a great trail gun. Hope you like it.

Looks great, but "Goodyears" are for cars and not handguns.

The work was done by a well known 1911/high power smith sort of as a favor to me. He doesn't usually do revolver work. I'm not trying to sound coy, I'm just not sure he wants his non-standard work advertised. I'll ask him if he minds.

For my trail guns I carry the buffalo bore 180 grain load. With this load I have found that the rear of the trigger guard will pound my middle finger mercilessly unless I have a rubber grip that covers it, hence the pachmayers.

The buffalo bore hits about 2" high at 25. I'm zeroed for a 110 gr load.

That looks awesome. Now you need an electric pencil and really make it an "autographed model"

congrats.

That looks great! I love the matte finish, my brother has the Wiley Clapp GP, your finish does look similar to the Ruger's, which I really like. Good job!
