First thanks for the help I think I am going to enjoy this Smith and Wesson forum I have a small collection I used to be a hunter then I had a back injury so now I just have fun shooting them anyway my question is about the grip s on my 67 it was a police officer trade in its double action only and here is my question the grips I've seen have sharp lines on the bottom and mine are round is this special grip or did the officer do it it looks original but it bug's me any help would be very appreciated

If the bottom of the grip got chipped or dinged to the point of splintering, the easiest solution was to round out the edge. The chip disappeared and the grip still looked pretty good. I've done it myself on occasion on used guns I have bought.
 
There are standard PC Magna grips that are rounded on the bottom of the grip. These are often found on Model 10s while the adjustable sight models like 15 and 67 came with magna grips with a sharp edge. I put some PC Magnas on a Model 67 as they are more comfortable for me.

Grips/stocks, are a personal thing. Go with whatever feels best to you. I have a 67 no dash. I have had S&W target grips on it, Herretts on it, and recently put magnas on it. Ebay, and gun shows turn up some nice examples. Enjoy your 67! Bob
