Model 67 No Dash

My 67 has C.C.S.C.P.D. stamped on the frame.

Anyone know what department that might have come from?

Inland7-45 - If I were considering action work I would send my revolver
to Karl Sakol who does business as Chestnut Mountain Sports in W. Rutland, VT.

people from all over the world send their guns to Karl Sokol."

The no dash and dash 1 Models 66 & 67 have always struck me as the absolute climax of S&W revolver production… they’re certainly my favorites. I sure miss the “good old days” when police agencies were trading them in by the hundreds and they were showing up at gun shows by the tableful. I bought only one 66 ND; after all they were there in unlimited numbers and always would be available. Yeah, right! The 67-1 I got 30 years later was in need of repair and I still paid much more for it than those in the wild ‘80s. :(

Early Model 67

I bought this early Model 67 a few weeks ago. It has the stainless rear sight and it’s serial number is 3K prefix. The silver on silver sights show well on an indoor range. I find myself grabbing this 67 and a bag of reloads every time I head to the range. It’s fun to shoot.

I have a no-dash 67 that I bought used a few years ago. It looked like a 1950s Cadillac bumper but I had my gunsmith go over it completely and restore the brushed finish. I paid $300 for it with no stocks and paid my gunsmith $115 for his work so I have $415 in it. I've posted these photos before and have been accused of thievery.
