Any Model 67 4" fans here? Picked this no dash last weekend. Looking forward to shooting it

I never had a Model 15 or 67 but they sure are great looking sixguns. I always liked the barrels on them, not quite pencil barrel, but yet thinner than the bull barrels of the later Model 10/64s and 19/66s.

My 67, is probably a little older than yours. It is 1973, and has the early all stainless rear sight. Obviously they became replaced by sights as yours. They are good shooters! I don't shoot mine enough. Bob

Congratulations! A very nice find indeed. It's always nice to get an older gun that still has the OEM stocks. I'd like to find a nice one, but what I'm really waiting for to show up at a LGS or pawn shop is a 4 inch Md 64. I have a preference for fixed sights.

Really nice gun! I've never seen a green insert on the front sight before. Is that aftermarket or did S&W do that for 67's?

Great Revolvers

Carried one on-duty for years until my department authorized .357 Magnum ammunition, then switched to a Model 66. They are great revolvers. Wish I still had mine.....

I have this P.D. commemorative...

Somebody used to make a color sight insert kit a few years ago. It had a few different colors IIRC.
Found it: Brownell's. Yellow, green, red, orange or white. Pricey, though: $61 for the kit.
There's also an old article on Guns Magazine's site with tips on how to do it if anyone's interested. I think I might try it....

This revolver is an early 1972. It would have come originally with stainless steel sights and magna wood grips. They later changed the front sight to red ramp. I bought the revolver with the green sight and Pachmyr black rubber grips. I replaced the rubber with K/L frame S&W medallion grip.

S&W checkered magnas although you see a lot of people that don't like them go with target grips.
