Model 686 in .22LR

A friend of me said he saw a model 686 for sale, not in .38Sp/357mag, but in .22LR. It should have been a 10-shot cilinder.
Does those type of S&W exsist?

Sort of. It is a Model 617 and has a full underlug that makes it look like a 686

Yep, I told him it was probably a 617. But according to the licence (in Belgium we need a licence to own a fireweapon)- it was registrated as a 686
