model 69??

I didn't want to hijack the other model 69 thread, so I thought that I'd start this one. I really want a model 69, and will probably have one within the next week. However, I do have one question before I pull the trigger. With the gun being a 5 shot rather than 6, does it change the trigger pull in terms of length, and lock up time? Thanks.

For DA shooting, I'd say yes. Less rotating mass is comparable to a race engine with light flywheel. Revs up faster.
While I don't do fast DA shooting with 44 Magnum, I do shoot a 986 (L frame) in steel challenge, and it runs faster for me than my TRR8.

L-frame to L-frame, you probably won't be able to tell the difference.

I don't notice a difference in slow DA shooting from a 686+ 7-shot to the M69 5-shot.


The trigger has also been getting better in the M69 as more rounds make it down the pipe.

Hello I have your problem also, I can't decide between a 4" and the new 2 3/4"! To wait to not to wait? I have a 4" 29-2 and a 3" 629-4. Maybe time to get out the coin to flip! Right now I carry a new CA bulldog, 20oz of fun!
