Hello again Forum Friends.
Two years ago I found an abused model of 1950 Target revolver.
After fitting the model 25-2 cylinder to it and shooting it some I put it away.
Knowing someday I would find a higher purpose for it.
Read here for the details.

Recently I found a real live 45 Colt Mountain gun barrel from a model 25-13,
a gun with the lock.
I have had a model 25-5 45 Colt cylinder for some time just waiting for
a project, and with the addition of a few small parts I saw a gun in my mind.
SO ,,here it is a 1950 Target, with model 25-5 cylinder from 1980,
and a model 25-13 barrel from 2003.
The extractor star is a 45 cal. post war right hand thread period
correct for the gun.
I fit the barrel to the frame first. Then the cylinder to the frame/barrel.
Endshake is about .006, and b/c gap about .008. all within
acceptable limits for a 45 Colt revolver using a such a low pressure round.
Here are pictures of IT , with an all original 1950 Target I purchased
from a forum member recently, and my Heavy Duty project 45 Colt
with stainless cylinder and barrel.
Note the extractor star still in the white. I was very fortunate to have
found this as it enabled the later cylinder to mate with the early
post war frame and action.
The Heavy Duty project has been fired and shoots to point of aim.
It is just waiting for some type of finish.
I believe I am going to have the whole gun glass bead blasted as it hides a
worlt of small flaws. Then maybe blue the frame leaving the cylinder and barrel
stainless.
An all original 1950 Target in 45 A.C.P.
The post war 1917 Military in 45 A.C.P. " The Oglesby' gun"
All 5 screws , in 45 Caliber.
Early post war Magnas. Beautiful figuring to the wood.
