modell 17 hammer ?

I have a hammer that fitted my 17-3
How does it fit in other dash numbers?

I'm about to sell it to a fellar with a 17-2 revolver
that's why the question

There should be no difference from a 17-3 to a 17-2. They would both be originally with color case hardened triggers. Will it fit as a drop in? Depends. Most probably it will be very close, but may require some fitting. When you change to MIM parts from case hardened parts models there is more likely a fitting requirement.

There are several areas that may require fine tuning. First is the double action sear. That, and the clearance between the hammer (at rest) and the rebound slide can be problematic if you're not expcting any hiccups. The hammer will "fit", but as H Richard stated, some tweaking, by an armorer, may be needed to make it perfect.
