Models I Wish S&W Would Build

Classic Model 19 with 3-inch barrel WITHOUT PORTS, just ordinary red ramp on ramp base.

Blue steel versions the OLD style J-Frames, not the Magnum J Frame, in 38 Special +P to look like the Models 40 and 49 (they already make the Classic Model 36).

Classic Series, Model 39, updated with firing pin safety, and other internal improvements of their later metal frame pistols, but looks like the old 39-2, in my opinion, their best looking semi-auto ever. No accessory rail.

And, while you’re at it, machine the front of the Model 27 barrel and set the front sight base back enough to mimic the appearance of the Pre-War RM. It can’t be that hard to re-program one of those bazillion CNC machines or the operating software.

And, while you’re at it, you could up the production numbers of these classic guns. I haven’t seen any of the Classics in stock at any distributor since before COVID.

Shawn: I would like to add one, since we are doing fantasy wishes.
I would like a Model 27, with the long .44 length cylinder and heavy .44 diameter half lug 5 inch barrel. P&R,of course. All with the old high polish deep blue finish!! Oh, yeah, old style "cokes", while we are wishing!

NO LOCK old style frame.

It is difficult to understand why the 3" models 10 and 64 are not being manufactured, but that would be my request. It seems that Smith & Wesson has given the medium-frame, 6-shot, fixed-sight market up to the other manufacturers.

I think a light weight k frame 6 shot, modern model 12 would be in order to rival the new Kimber K-6 SX.

I'd be happy if they would just produce enough of their standard models, including performance center editions. The last three revolvers I tried to buy are unobtainable according to my LGS. I'm in their computer on a wait list. Not even Cabela's can get what I want.

I’ll tell you a gun I’d like to see built.
Scandium frame with titanium cylinder, polymer grip frame similar to the charter Arms off-duty design.
Built on an I-frame design with all dimensions therein, a 1 7/8” barrel, unshrouded ejector rod, bobbed hammer but not shrouded to save weight for the frame, chambered in .32 H&R Magnum or .327 Federal.
It would be a no holds barred light weight .32 revolver using every trick possible.
Taking the approach that if a part CAN be made lighter it would be.
I think the total weight could be gotten down into the 9oz range maybe even 8oz.

Of course to get there this would be a $2000 gun and be pretty miserable to shoot but a man can dream.

Any K or L frame without a lock….. especially a blued 2 1/2” 44 mag

Other titanium cylinder N frames besides the 329. I'd buy a 327PD or a new 327JM. A 325PD (but with a 4" barrel) would be nice as well.

I know they're not getting rid of the IL or going back to P&R guns, so I won't waste (or hold) my digital breath.
