My interpretation of a cowboy rig, as some of you may recall I was looking for a work gun to carry around my property.

I ended up buying a M64-5 then going to the local cop shop and getting a newer Velcro (trouser) duty belt ($10.00), an old duty double ammo pouch ($3.00), and an old Don Hume “Jordan Border Patrol” Holster ($5.00). That is $18.00 for the rig.
I can leave the rig hanging on the back of a chair and when I go outside, grab it up and Velcro it on. Who else has one of these modern day interpretation of a cowboy rig. Put up a pic.
Cheers

Whatever floats your boat, but from an old flatfoot's perspective, basketweave and smooth leather never go together. The correct belt should be a 3" back killer, but I DO admire your ingenuity. Not my cup of tea, but I'm happy for you as I'm sure it fulfills the intended purpose! :)

An old Bianchi with my Model 27-2, a Jay-Pee cartridge slide and a Tex Shoemaker speedloader holster.

There you go, mixing smooth with basketweave again. Man, that stuff sure brings back memories. Good ones! :)

You are right KEN L but I am a deputy and had to get some basket weave in there somewhere...haha, and easyrhino I have the same grips on my 637.
Cheers

Here is an old Tex Shoemaker holster I cleaned up and dyed a while back. I don't have the M & P anymore, but I kept the holster because it was given to me for when I get another 4-inch K-frame.

I sometimes wear this Model 60 around the place with an Uncle Mike's velcro trainer's belt, an Uncle Mike's ammo carrier and a Bianchi Accu-mold holster.

I've been wearing this 44 Special lately. That's an old Buckheimer that I modified to protect both my arm and the adj rear sight. I use the same Uncle Mike's belt and ammo carrier.

My contribution. Moon clip holder not shown as it is smooth leather, not shark....

I've been looking for a brown double dump pouch for sometime, anyone know where I might find one? At the moment I use the same style as bluegrassrules posted a pic of for both my .38SPL & .41 mag ammo. I don't use a seperate belt just a stiff military issue trouser belt which works very well.

These are the holsters I use when out hunting, I have one each for my Ruger BH & S&W M10.

336A I think I can find you a black one from the local cop shop, it would be old and used. PM me if you are intersted.
Cheers

They only changes I would make is a double speedloader pouch and a Sam Browne velcro belt. The Sam Browne belt will give the holster more stability.

I have a Mernickle PS6-SA for my Colt SSA clone. It's a ccw holster for SSA revolvers. It gets lots of use hiking and dog walking in the woods by my house.

I like it. And greatly admire the pricing!. My childhood background as the family shoe-shiner would drag me, right quick, to an old rag and some Kiwi black! [that's just me...]

Good assembly of leather.
