I have a Model 19 modified into a PPC gun that has some duct taped, foam palm swelled Hogue grips on it. Just really takes away from the looks of the gun. I want to put a nice laminate grip on it. I LOVE the NU grips I have for my R8, but don't see where those are offered for the K square frames. What are similar options? Hogue offers the JM grips in K square, but i wonder if the non checkered grips are a good option for such a barrel heavy gun. Could ya share pics of what you use? Only interested in the modern day laminate/ G10 type grips. No Targets/ Combats/ or Hogue/ Pachmyer rubber grips please. If I go with any traditional style grip, it will be the Hogue Big Butt grips.

I find G10 stocks to be a little slippery feeling
I have a pair of hogue round/square conversion finger groove G10 on my 4 1/4" 686
I have the same grips in smooth hardwood and chequered hardwood on other revolvers
Prefer the hardwood

Thanks for the reply. I definitely want checkered I think with whatever i go with. Just think that would help with managing the gun.

Once they were available, I always used the Davis rubber grips that I modified by taking out the finger groove. They were very popular, also Hogue rubber grips were on a lot of guns. May not be the prettiest but sure work well in that hot MS. climate.
