There was recently a J frame .22 called a 4xx followed by letters - I THINK!!!

I believe it was an 8 or 10 shot revolver.

Can anyone tell me what I am trying to recall? Or am I dreaming?

They have the 317 kit gun, there is a stainless and a air weight model, both 8 shot. I believe they are both 3" barrels.
The 617 is a much nicer gun, with 10 shots and so much smoother action

I bought a model 63 3" about a year ago, new, at Academy. It wasn't in stock but they had it in in about a week, it is an 8 shot. Yes, I do like it' I use it mainly for plinking on walks in the woods/swamp or fishing.

If your looking for a Hammer Snub, the 317-2 still pop up from time to time. Great revolvers.
