Modifying my CCW...

Just ordered a 3.5 lb striker spring for the sigma to further the lightening process. Hopefully no FTF's or it goes back to stock and I start injecting steroids into my trigger finger. LOL
Got to get it to shoot comfortable and accurate for "me".
Thanks for all of the comments and opinions.

My Sigma trigger is 2 1/2 pounds lighter than my 66-2. Again, I wouldn't touch it.

Just got my lighter striker spring today and installed it. A big difference now. I have only dry fired it but I think that my small hands will like this gun better now. Accuracy is my major concern for my CCW and a lighter trigger will certainly improve that.

I hope it works out for you. I would put about 500 rounds in it before you label it as your CCW piece.

My stock Sigma had a trigger pull of 13.5#. You can send your Sigma to Fred Smith at LSG Mfg. For $60 he can clean things up and get a trigger pull around 10#. LSG is a S&W repair center so it will retane the full warrenty.
Removing pigtail spring and swaping with pen spring will effect trigger reset.
It may be fine to shoot at the range but I wouldn't trust it with my life as a carry gun.

If you fire your gun legally in self defense then a good trigger pull is of no concern...

Thank Gawd Someone With Fact Not Fiction. Bravo Sir! As I say to those that take my Female Self Defense Firearms Course. "Once You Present The Weapon Your Next Action Will Be The Most Important Discission You Ever Make".

It is not the Lbs. of the trigger that could get you into Legal Trouble it is definately the decission you make under stress!

I think you worry too much. Based on your concern, anyone shooting idpa is practicing to kill someone. Well, it is practicing but the goal is to be able to defend your self w/o harming bystanders at least as I have seen many stages shot. Making your firearm more accurate is nothing different.

I'll be putting apex parts in my recently purchased m&p as soon as my plastic is back to zero balance again.
