Welcome to the forum !

Hi everyone
and thanks for the warm welcome.
Yes, „moin“ is a typical greeting in northern part of Germany. Often mistaken as a short form from „(guten) Morgen“ (good morning), it can be used any time of the day. Just a greeting.

Moin zurück and welcome to the forum. Where is "west of Hannover" exactly? I'm living "west of Hannover" as well

regards from Germany

Ulrich, I do live now in Obernkirchen and work in Wunstorf at LTG62.

@Alex

I live in Bad Meinberg, just 50 km south of Obernkirchen. Visited LTG 62 at Wunstorf a couple of years ago, to write a newspaper article about Frau Leutnant Haase, at that time she was probably the only female female Transall pilot. I guess she's flying A400s now. Maybe you know her, if she still is with LTG 62. I am not sure about her current rank...

regards
Ulrich
