If you drink coconut milk you may want to check if the coconuts are being harvested by forced monkey labor. A couple of excerpts from the article.

"The Issaquah, Washington-based wholesale club [Costco] is the latest retailer pledging not to stock coconut products from Thai suppliers who have been accused of using monkeys as forced labor, officials from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) exclusively told USA TODAY."

"The Thailand-based maker of Chaokoh coconut milk, Theppadungporn Coconut Co. Ltd, told USA TODAY that it has audited coconut plantations using a third party and shared a copy of the 14-page 'Monkey-Free Coconut Due Diligence Assessment.' The report says 64 farms out of 817 were randomly selected and "did not find the use of monkey for coconut harvesting."

I thought this was a joke...then I saw this. The guy in the video claims he loves his monkeys like his children. If PETA is after this guy for training monkeys to pick coconuts, I'm afraid I'm in serious trouble now because I trained my kids how to pick apples, hoe corn, and stack firewood. They once asked me how much I was paying them. I replied, "Room and board.":D

Of course PETA would undoubtedly complain about dogs at the border trained to smell cars for narcotics, or bomb-smelling dogs.
