Anyone have positive experience with Mooncliptool.com?
I ordered a tool from them I need November, a few days later a lady called me for credit card info. Now, in January I have emailed them once, phoned them and left messages 3 times over the last week with no response

I picked one up from them a year or two ago and had it pretty quickly in hand.

Works well.

Hope you get in touch with someone and get it taken care of.

Yes, I routinely get my tools, adapters and clips from them. Great prices and products. Most recently in October 17. I always use the mail in form with a check (vs their odd call back system). I generally have my deliveries within 2 weeks of mailing.

That said, I have a friend that ordered some 610 clips from them in December and was just saying that it has been 3 weeks since she cashed the check and he still hasn't seen the clips.. I know this is a small time mom and pop operation. Hopefully there is no illness or such in the family.

A 625 I bought came with one, so I ordered the center post and clips for 627. First order resulted in nothing. Sent in a second order a week later. A week after that, when I had about given up, I received a phone call for the credit card info. About 10 days later I received the items. Good quality but not very good business practices.

Order from TK Custom or Revolver Supply. You will have your order in days.

The same for me. I have a screw driver type tube tool to demoon the clips. I normally do not use the demooning part of the Moonclip tool. But, it's nice to have on there , just in case.

A friend has and uses a BMT moon clip tool. He likes it.

I have one and it does a good job. I ordered mine directly from them and had it in the mail within a week.

I ordered one in Nov, and just got it. Came with the wrong arbor. Sent email, no response. I'll try again. Ordered one from revolver supply just in case. They sent on for a 38/357 instead of the 9mm. Pretty slow moving.

Agreed, the tool is of very nice quality. I also don't use the demooning part much but will occasionally if at the range. The advantage to this type of tool vs the BMT is that for $4 or so, you can get the arbor to convert to another caliber/gun. Given I shoot moon clips in a 686,686+,986,929, 610 and 627, I find it versatile and economical. Downside is that it takes a bit longer to load/unload vs the BMT.

think I looked at them when I got my 686,, made it as far as that "umm place your order we'll call u for CC"..
Ummm yeh,, next. really if you are that backward in this day and age that you cant even have a paypal account. Think I will just move along.

I had same problem with them, Hairtrigger. Finally got my order after complaining to credit card company. I would not order from them again. They might be legit, but terribly slow service. I recommend TK custom or Revolver supply.

For those with a 625JM or PC, what do you use for additional clips? S&W versions, TK's brand or ?? And why? Best prices? Thanks Ron

I use Ranch Products brand with mixed brass for all my revolvers. Seem to work just fine in my 625PC. (IMHO, The 45 acp round fit to the clip is more forgiving than some.)
You can get them pretty cheap on ebay but the moonclip tool website posted above is where I've found them cheapest.

For my 45 acp's I like the Ranch Product moon clips.

For my 929 & 627 I used the Revolver Supply moon clips.

I have a couple TK custom moonclips. Good quality ,, nice tight fit,,
but expensive compared to the Revolver Supply.

When I go to their website they don’t list the prices. Have to email for a price list. Huh??? Do you recall what the 45 acp clips were going for and what shipping was? I found them everywhere online but don’t have anything from them to compare it to. Thanks. Ron

When I ordered several packs of moonclips for my governor from Midway I also ordered a lever type removal tool, but I have never used it. I found a piece of stainless tubing and made my own that holds 6 45ACP's, works good and easy to use.
