Moon clips for model 610.

The big issue with carrying moon clips for defense use is that they are fragile compared to speed loaders and a subtly bent moon might well allow the revolver to close but tie the gun up. TK Custom sells 610 moons that look more robust than most makers. I generally dislike RIMZ for anything other than casual range use, but in this case, I might use them rather than the fragile looking split finger metal offerings.

I've used Ranch moonclips for years with a 625. Also a 627 and 929. TK Custom moonclips are excellent as well but they seem to be more particular over the brand of brass used. When properly matched they make for fast reloads.

I'm another fan of Ranch Products moon clips. I use them in both my 6" Model 610 and 25-3. The Ranch mooner/demooner works well with both calibers, too.

Hope this helps.

Fred
