New to pistols, very new Recently bought a S&W 669 then purchased ammo, asked for 9mm S&W standard load--recieved a box of Fiocchi, which I had read was good ammo, however the box reads 9AP 115GRS.FMJ also reads 9mm LUGAR is this going to work in my S&W? The Lugar and the 9AP makes me nervous.

Your Model 669 should be chambered for 9x19 mm, aka 9 mm Luger and 9 mm Parabellum. My assumption is the 9 AP designation is the stock number Fiocchi assigns their 115 grain Full Metal Jacket load. It will work fine.
