As I really love shooting my Model 34, a picture of it should be in this thread too:

It is a wonderful, great shooting revolver.
As my right arm only has about 40% of its normal lifting capacity because of a _what seems everlasting- tennis-arm, I find myself shooting it a lot lately, it shoots really well.
On a good day I can do up to 4 in a hole/line- at least the 4 holes are touching each other.
I can only do that (and sometimes somewhat better) with the Model 18-2 for about two cilinders in a row, than the extra weight starts to bother.

Together with my Model 18-2, the difference in size is quite obvious:

Thank you, she is a great little companion piece/training tool. Though I do have a hankering for the more maintenance free Model 63 the little I frame will do just fine until I find that 63 at a price I'm willing to pay.

Have a 63 with 4" tube and a pre 43 with 3 1/2" barrel. Plink with the 63 and pack the pre 43.

I have a 4" Model 63. it is an excellent kit gun.

I'd love to (someday soon) acquire a model 63 with 4" bbl.
J-frame rim-fires are sweet little plinking pieces, as well as easy to carry.

Back in the early 90's I scarfed up a WMRF version, a model 651-1 with 4" bbl, to carry when poking around the fishing streams.

Yup! There's more Model 63s/34s/43s out there. However, that .22 mag. really flips my switch. I don't really know why, but I want one!

I use the stainless 22-32 kit gun a LOT! It is my teaching gun for kids and women...just yesterday at the range from 8-12 it got a real workout with new shooters, and I converted a lot of newbies...from the liberal media view of shooting to actually trying it and having a good time...can't beat it. I am looking for another!

I used to carry my 63 while I was Pheasant Hunting just in case I came across a squirrel or two. Now I usually don't anymore since my friends and I currently hunt with dogs. The dogs are so good ( and we always have to watch them ) that I don't have time for the squirrels now!

The only thing I use it for now is plinking, target shooting and getting some of my buddies pissed that they can't find one at a reasonable price anymore! The last is the best (LOL).

I purchased a nib 63 with factory Uncle Mike's. Not huge but big enough to allow a good purchase for improved shooting when compared to the 'J' framed magnas. A great gun, accurate with the right ammo, and easy to carry and pack.

Like all 22lr revolvers (autos too), clean yours often 'during' range sessions and it will perform reliably. A quality, fun gun.

Here's my I-frame 4" and 34-1 Snubbie;

Missing from the family portrait is the Model 43 I have owned for a over a year without managing to take a picture of or shoot.

A 2" 63 is at the top of my "must have list".

I love my 617...but for a trail or kit gun...the J-frame and .22lr are a match made in heaven.

My wife has a 4" 63 that we got as an understudy to her 67 in the early 80s. Like the 67 a pair of Pach Grippers went on it as soon as we got it home. I used to sneak it out for mule deer and elk hunts. It was handy, but after the 28-2 that was my daily carry gun it felt like I was aiming a feather and I never got very good with it. I doubt its been out of the safe in the last 20 years except for "cleaning parties" with my son.

Sounds like about time to plan a .22 day at the range, then a cleaning party.

I have one, but rarely shoot it. I've done a bit of work on the action, but it just doesn't compare to my 17's or 617's, they are just so much smoother. That said, I just picked up a 34-1 today and it has a great action, perhaps I need to open that 63 back up and take another look at it. I think I'd like it if it was a bit smoother.

While I don't care for it as much as the K-Frames, what's not to like about a .22?
