Even though another one was just posted on here yesterday, here is mine.
I can tell why it is love it or hate it with the looks on this gun. I happen to love the humpy L frame. So after having one on my wish list for a couple years now a local one came up for sale. The gentleman says he is the original owner and put around 50 rounds through it and put it in the safe. It had more handling markings on it and was quite dirty for what was claimed but I grabbed it anyway. Cleaned it with CLP and did not use a copper brush. It came with the case, lock, and paper work. Also the paper box which serial number matched to the gun. It is missing the key to the box and the roll pin for the lanyard loop.
two questions then:
1) Is that roll pin something S&W sells as a part?
2) I didn't scrub too hard on the area around the barrel by the cylinder, but that was the only area that didn't come clean. Is that common on these guns? You can see that area with the cylinder open in the pic below.
