More ammo on the way?

I'm seeing lots more ammo lately. Many calibers that were not available have returned to the shelves. More is always better.

Definitely more ammo to be had, but unfortunately it's still double the price it used to be. That's better than triple the price, which we've seen recently, but still pricey.

Yesterday I drove about 150+ miles round trip to visit Bass Pro and couple of gun shops. Bass Pro had boxes and boxes of jacketed pistol/ revolver and rifle bullets for reloading Way Cheaper than local Academy Sports, no limits either. All their 22 RF was cheaper too. Bought what I need.
Best was another gun shop few miles away, they had plenty of 357 Mag and 38 Spl for $30/ box of 50. Blazer , Remington and Winchester. Picked up several. Then drove a short distance to old time hardware/ building supply/ gun shop but they were closed? Going to talk to my buddy and see if he wants to go during the week, I’m happy.

Huh????????

seems the industry shifted priority from reloading components to loaded ammo.
Ammo availability has been impressive in contrast to prior crunches. components have been quite lean, however.

It doesn't sound like they will be making primers, just loaded ammo. Will they and where will they get primers? Starting with 9 only? Really? The most commonly shot round that everyone makes. I guess they have to start somewhere but if they are going to get to 200 people, they will need to expand calibers significantly and quickly.

At least it's nice to see the shelves full of ammo in nearly every common caliber in my LGS. Also some powder on the shelves and Hornady bullets. Shot is still too high, $62.99 per 25 lb bag, and still no primers. The gun displays are full of mostly all new guns, very few used/trade in guns. Skids of 12 and 20 gauge on the floor, but at $9.99 a box.

Glad I still have enough primers to load anything I need to load, and enough loaded ammo to not have to load anything for awhile.

price still overpriced because people won't stop buying. everyone has to complete their "stockpile" of one metric ton of 556 and 9mm that they never shoot.

Huh????????

I think subeditors in the media deliberately screw this stuff up.
