August was a hectic month.
On the S&W side, I traded my Colt 1911 for a S&W 686+. I really like it, but need a holster. I'm down to a RIA .45 and my M1917 Brazilian contract revolver, which is excellent fun!
Then things got crazy.
I traded my Mini-14 and a "Ted Williams" Winchester 1200 28" for an FN-manufactured Belgian Mauser JC Higgens Model 50 in .30-06, all-original, with the antique "Rifleman" (Weaver k4) scope and in basically unfired condition, along with a High Standard riot-length shotgun from the mid-60s, an Astra A70 in .40, and I snagged a Taurus PT-101 in .40 for a ludicrously low price. I have a 9mm slide and barrel coming for the Astra too, it's a surprisingly great shooter in .40.
And then, the coup d'grace:
I liked my M9, But there's "like" and "love". So when I walked into my LGS and saw a Glenfield Model 30A, the wheels turned fast and completely. It's got some wear on the wood, but the internals are tight, bright and new. I also got a hundred rounds of .30-30 so I feel like I basically stole it.
