Hello all, new to the forum and i have some ?s about the Sigma's. First is do these have drop free mags or is there a brake, also is there a mag disconnect? Also was wondering if the front sight is staked in or if it is removable?
Last is do these have a firing pin block or drop safety? The S&W web site did not seem to offer much info.

Thanks in advance
Vic.

No external safety. It's got an articulated trigger to help prevent accedental discharge. It's got a long trigger pull that smoothes out over time. If you've looked around the site some, you'll find a lot of info about them. Great gun for the money, but it's a self defence/combat gun, not a target shooter. Most of the fiber sight sites don't seem to realize there are alot of Sigmas out there. Night sights are available and some lasers as well.
I'll attach a pic of mine with a laser. It works great in the house at night.

I just bought one myself and took it to the range Sunday: 150 successfully discharged rounds.

Hey PDL, where did you get that laser at? I've never seen one like that for the sigma before.

Like he said, it's a TDR911 from auto laser. I didn't go for the automatic switch or holster, didn't need them myself.

Do a search in the auot forums for sigmas and you'll find a couple of threads on sights.

I love the way that laser blends with the gun!

The front sight on Sigmas, VE series, is removable but not reusable. One can get creative and reuse it, but if removed, it is intended to be replaced.

They are good pistols if you can get them cheap. IMHO they can the the best pistol per buck built this decade.

My Sigma .40 is a great kitchen drawer/nightstand pistol. Its long and hard trigger makes it hard to AD. I've shot about 300 rounds thru it with no failures. Very reliable and it has good ergonomics.

Thanks for all the help folks. Now i just need to buy one and then look for a couple of nice leather holsters. Any advice on the holster search would be appreciated also!

Happy Holidays!!!

Vic.

Don Hume lists a nice IWB leather holster for the Sigma for less than $40. Check their web site. Fobus also makes a paddle holster for it for $32 (although plastic) and free shipping. Once again, check their web site.

Don Hume is a good holster and company to work with. I sell their level 2 holsters to law enforcement and civilian market.
