I have been enjoying going to several Facebook anti-gun pages and stirrin' up a little trouble with my pro-gun, rational views. Several will allow that, although some will immediately ban you.

I've seen this statistic on several:
More Americans support background checks (92%) than believe Elvis is dead (81%).

Elvis is NOT dead. He lives on.....in my CD player.....and my cassette player....and my turntable......and my 8-Track player.:D

Yeah, I have all of those, and they still work.
Count me in the 19%.

Who are these "Morwe Americans"?;):p

Can't tell ya, it's a secret.

Someday, I'm gonna learn how to type.
Not today.:D

Slimy politicians take a piece of a proposed law and hold it up to the voters. Then these voters all say in unison "Yeah, we like that, it's a great idea."

In this case the piece of the legislation is background checks. What we were not asked to approve is the confiscation of all personal and confidential information you give to the seller when you purchase the firearm. This personal data would go into a national firearms database where the Feds would track all firearms from birth to death. When people are told about the national firearms database they strongly disapprove of such a measure being in the bill.

This is where the expression being sold a bill of goods comes from.

63% of all statistics on the Internet are made up on the spot. An additional 27% will have no supporting citations at all.

Well in 1953 more Americans believed in segregation, but that didn't make it right, any more so than background checks are correct.
