Most friendly 2nd Amendment State

I like the Arizona law that the guns turned in must be resold. But Iowa is good on its laws.

What is great about Arizona is that you see people everyday out in public exercising their rights. I always see people out shopping, pumping gas, in restaurants, etc. carrying in the open. Yesterday at Home Depot I saw a woman with her two kids in tow with a .45 on her hip. I have never seen anyone having a hissy-fit because there was a gun in their midst. I am a transplant from California and it is refreshing to finally be free from their oppressive laws.

I looked at the Brady map. According to it only 17 states have better firearms laws than Mississippi. But, that was before Mississippi enacted open carry laws and some other stuff that will take affect July 1,2013. That should put us near the top. We already have shall issue CCW and can carry in vehicles without any kind of permit. I was surprised to learn that Alabama will not allow you to cary in your car without a permit. I found this out while going through Tuscaloosa. We got stopped by a trooper and when he asked for registration I told him it was in the glovebox right under my Glock 20. The three of us were all carrying and after we showed permits he wished us a good day.
