My friend's neighbor got royally scr#wed by his ex. They went to the range the other day, and he took pictures and her mug, and really enjoyed making shards of them.

First off what a great idea for a thread!
And I can't believe no one has listed it, but...hedge apples!
As far as I know this is why God made them. They are also biodegradable.
They are awesome! Especially using a HP bullet. They do leave a sticky mess behind though.

Here's my next target to shoot at. I got kind of board shooting at paper targets so I got the great idea of making my own, which I'm still working on. I'm still kicking around what to use as a head. Any suggestions would be great! On a side note, his name is Hostile Harry!!

The idea of old drives, fans and other similar junk is fine if you are shooting on your own property, or that of a friend. There aren't too many ranges that will allow that kind of trash, even if you clean all of it up afterwards. I know mine won't, and we are fairly liberal on non-paper targets.

I like to shoot dollar store lollipops or Necco wafers. Cheeper the better. Vaporize when hit and smell GREAT. I like the green/lime ones

Get a Halloween mask and fill it full of cotton batting used for pillows that would be cool.

Yeah I did a search to make sure I didn't make a double thread and I was shocked to see there wasn't one. I guess this Noob will come with some ideas.
Ice cubes sound great, maybe put some color dye in them also
Balloons sound good but might make a mess.
Eggs that aren't good anymore sound like an idea.
Keep the ideas coming especially competition type stuff

Awesome target bud. Since it is pumpkin season now you could use that as the head and make a face out of it. Maybe fill it up with something like paintballs/water/or something so it leaks out when shot?

Another favorite... charcoal briquettes floating on the lake... they explode when you hit them
