I was wondering if there's any new carry rigs out there. And what you've found interesting. I don't wear leather (but always like seeing the different setups and will carry in mine with a holster in inside pocket occasionally but my jackets aren't made for it )my percect setup would be a nice flannel with reenforced shoulder like holster built in. I have two leather jackets that work but I normally just strap it to bars I case it gets cold. My iwb rigs are ok one being an old faithful for a Cz p series. And a thin leather iwb for bodyguard wich Is ok. When wearing just a t-shirt sometimes the shirt rides up without notice. Also I've seen some neat holster for on the bike in the past. I have never carried like that but have a made a holster for bicycle frame made out of my old army duffle. Used it for some long distance trail riding up in the mountains and also keeps other stuff too and points pistol too ground even though I do trust the fp blocks. I've thought about having a saddle bag with a safe system setup so I can be legal traveling through the lets be victim states. But still am not sure if you would need two safe like setups that are secured to frame.

I am trying to figure out the same thing. I know not to carry it in the small of my back, that will just lead to a wheelchair if I go off the back of the bike and land on it, and I can't imagine it not breaking a hip if its on my side and I land on it. So I am not really sure what I can do with it. My bike is a supermoto (sort of like a dirt bike) so I don't really have any place to stash it on the bike.

I carried in a tank bag. Easy enough to drape your leathers over the top and move the handgun to a pocket when going inside. Tank bags work for both baggers and sport bikes.

No way did I want a piece of steel strapped to my body if I went down.

Assuming the legality of the carry (because in the let's be a victim states that might not be true), I always thought that the best choice for a motorcycle rider was a set up that rides on the gas tank. If you can't reach the gun what's the point of carrying it?

Arizona bike riders just open carry in shoulder rigs, assorted belt rigs, etc. Pretty interesting.

Riding, I like a leather jacket with a strong inside pocket for carry. I often pocket carry something small like an LCP when wearing multi pocket cargo pants. On occasion, I have carried in a shoulder holster, with a sweatshirt worn over the gun. I don't like carrying a gun off person, attached to the bike, and I don't usually carry on the belt / waist because it is a vulnerable spot of you do go down.

Depending on where I'm riding (the weather and overall riding conditions), I'll either go with one of my belt-holstered weapons (mostly depending on risk assessment of locations), or something small and easily pocket-holstered, like one of my J's or LCP's.

I still have an assortment of shoulder rigs, but I stopped using them some years ago. Ditto stopped using IWB rigs.

I look at personal comfort while riding, security of the weapon while riding, minimizing potential injury if falling, etc.

I dislike the idea of carrying a weapon in a saddle (or other) bag, but then I simply want to maintain the sort of constant control that results from on-body carry, especially if the bike were to be separated from me in an unexpected manner.

I usually carry my PM9 in a pocket holster in the inside pocket of my leather jacket, or my right front jacket pocket. Works for me.

The way these idiots are texting while driving, I've had thoughts of doing a Mad Max set up, with a sawed-off shotgun in a scabbard next to the gas tank. You can imagine the rest...

Hey, all it takes is a federal stamp and you will be good to go.
I like it.....

I've been riding forever and motorcycle ccw forever (1966). In the 70s and into the late 80s I carried in a tank bag when on one day or longer rides. My riding companion was a Md 49. By the early 90s really good riding gear (jackets, pants, gloves) started to become available. The better products featured really good pocket designs. I went with the Aerostich Darian jacket that affords great crash protection along with rain/weather protection. It has a left breast pocket that is absolutely perfect for jacket pocket carry. I now drop in my Md 649-3 and ride on. When going in a cafe I always take it with me (the jacket) unless signs on door advise otherwise and then I lock the gun in my luggage.

Here's the stupidest thing I ever did regarding motorcycles and guns. Back in about '84 some of my buddies and I crossed into Canada via Detroit. I didn't think twice about my gun in the tank bag until it was time to return at the same border crossing. Two of my riding buddies were pulled aside for searches, I was waved on. Not sure what consequences would have been heaped upon my stupid head, but it truly was a fortunate day for me. BTW, neither of the two that were pulled over for search was carrying.
