RIP. beautiful dog there. same fate befell my 5 yo bassett hound. It's been over 2 years and I still think about him everyday.

I am so sorry to hear about the lost of your friend. When I lost my first Golden I felt like I could never get another dog. that was 7 years ago, now we have a 7 year old golden, a 8 year old rescue ****uz just 3 weeks ago adopted a 2 year old mixed springer spaniel and border collier, they don't replace Tillie, but they enrich our life.

Beautiful Animal; I've had to do that two or three times and it never gets any easier. I will say that with time it gets better but you never get over it.
