Watched this last night and the night before. (Could not get through it in one sitting.) 2021 movie. I rented and streamed from Amazon.

Supposed to be based on a true historical event in medieval France. Per the movie, it was believed at the time if two were in irrevocable dispute a duel to the death would be decided by God, with the victor's claim being vindicated.

Matt Damon. Kinda a Rashomon remake — was she raped or was she not, from different perspectives — but overall, as a movie, I thought kinda boring.

Mostly. Yet, if ya slog through it, at the end: A duel to the death it is, between the woman's husband and the man she accuses of raping her.

And the duel to the death is a terrific depiction! Back and forth, nip and tuck, to death. Very well done scene.

Just kinda hard makin' it to that point.

FWIW.
