Just saw it today, I kinda knew the premise and I had an idea how it might evolve but I must say it surprised me how it went. I won't give anything away but it had some exciting moments and feature what I took to me a Marlin .45-70. Not sure that is the caliber I would have chosen for wolf and coyote sniping as he was doing but I wouldn't argue against it's effectiveness and I did enjoy the brief scene showing him doing some reloading of ammo.
Looks like winter in Wyoming is a bit harsh!

Thumbs up for this one. Good movie with competent acting throughout. Loved the setting.

Looking forward to seeing that one. I have a special place in my heart for the Winds as I learned my technical climbing there in 1974 via NOLS along with Scott Fischer (who served as an assistant instructor on the five week expedition).

Thanks for the tip. Reviews sound pretty good. Will take a chance on this one. Yeah I like that Marlin myself.

yeah I'm interested in this one. I caught it was directed by the person who did Sicario which I loved so assume this will bring a similar intensity to it.

Thanks for pointing this one out. Was it filmed in the Winds? So many are shot elsewhere.

The movie was filmed mostly in Utah though there was at least one view of Lander as you come into town on the north/east side. Also, a couple of local names were severely mispronounced. I won't say what they were but anyone who knows the area should pick them up right away. Having said that, I thought it was an excellent movie. A good story, great scenery, weapons were generally correct, and it captured some of the issues those on the Res face every day. It's a tough place. I would go see it again.

Thanks. Maybe if they'd shot it here they'd have learned those names' pronunciation. Sound like it's worth a look.
