I recently bought a new MP 9mm, with 2, 17 round magazines. I cannot load 17 rounds in them, very difficult to load! Any help or thoughts to remedy?!😊

One thing that could help is to load as many rounds as possible and let the magazines sit for some days.

Yep... typical protocol for any new handgun for me is 1) strip, clean, lube; 2) load up all magazines and let sit for a few days to break in springs; 3) while those sit, during free time rack the slide of the gun over and over and over and over till your hands hurt, to break in recoil spring.
Then strip the gun again, lube if necessary. Go to the range and fire away.

They need to be broken in first, don't fully load them for the first couple of hundred rounds, or load them and let them sit for a few weeks.

I had to get a uplula. Never tried any other options. In NY State we are only allowed 10 rnd mags, to get the 10th loaded I have to only partially push the loading lever and then push in the last round, if I fully depress the lever that last one won't fit. It just took a little practice.

By the way, for those considering the Uplula, they suggest loading the first round by hand. The metal tang on the Uplula can scratch plastic followers over time.

No offense taken. It's a matter of what works for each of us and maybe what takes up the least amount of space in the range bag or ammo can. For me, the Uplula does the job perfectly.

That's what makes horse races.

I own an Uplula. But, after using one of my gun range buddies Caldwell, I wanted to throw my Uplula away. (Not really, because I'm a PACK RAT! :D )

I can't get 17 rounds in my M&P magazines either. Of course it's probably because mine came with 15 round magazines.
