Mp15-22 pistol

Hello everyone, i am new to the forum and also new to guns, but i was wondering. i just bought a new MP15-22 pistol and wanted to know if i could put a retractable butt stock on it? Where the sling mount is removes, and it looks like i can do it, but wanted to make sure before i made the purchase.

It is not legal to add a shoulder stock to a pistol. That turns it into a short barrelled rifle which are regulated under the NFA like machine guns. It is possible to do so if you register and pay the required taxes?fees. So, Possible? yes. Legal? no.

mxbob is right on. Illegal. Requires a tax stamp ($$$), lots of paperwork, an engraved receiver, etc.

While we are on the subject, it is also illegal to add a forward grip to your MP22-pistol.
