Had an item listed for sale in the Accessories forum. Member mtice messaged me a we agreed to a price. So I marked the item “SOLD “. He messaged me wondering what was going on because he could no longer see the item in the Accessories forum. It only took me a couple of minutes to discover that the listing had been moved to the “Sold/Withdrawn “ section. This was new to me as well.

In the meantime I posted another listing of additional holsters that I had for sale. Didn’t know it, but I am able to post more than one listing because I am a supporting member as of today (yah, me!).

I explained to him where and why the listing had been moved and that I had done some spring cleaning and found other items. He insisted that the deal was shady because the original listing had been moved and because of the second posting.

mtice, when in doubt, you can look at a member’s profile by clicking on their name. If they have been here a substantial amount of time and have
multiple postings, it’s a pretty sure bet that you can trust them. Not being up to date on the forum rules and how things work is understandable. Refusing to show understanding when the situation has been clearly explained to you; well, there’s another word for that. Best regards to you anyway!

The item was indeed not SOLD as I had not sent payment and seller did not respond to question why the listing was no longer in the for sale section but instead posted a different holster using same ad wording. Looked as though holster was pulled and replaced with different holster before I sent payment so I could no longer see what I paid for. Wasn’t comfortable with the way handled by seller who was very defensive. Sorry I hurt their feelings.

My understanding is supporting members can post one ad per section at a time where non-supporting can only post one per month. I would think the ad would still show but if you quickly change the add itself to sell another item than it would only show the new item. I sold two like holsters one after the other and the first buyer thought I was maybe selling the holster again or didn't get his message. We communicated and all was fine.
