Didn't see option Mohammed - the most popular name in GB now :D

The making of a King?

What a bunch of gender specific goons y'all are.

Throne person #1 or #2.

....and Prince George of Cambridge it is. 14 highly intelligent voters we have here.;)

I picked George...first one to vote in the poll actually...but it was an educated guess. James is not a popular name with the Scots, who have a referendum coming up on remaining a part of GB. Richard would likely be perceived as an insult to the Muslims (which would have been a good enough reason to pick it!) as he led the Crusades. George VI led the country through the dark days of WWII and was a popular monarch after Edward abdicated. I'm not generally a fan of royalty, but I'm less of a fan of our currently installed aristocracy [there's a song there.. ;-) ] so this has been a pleasant diversion.

Your post got me thinking about what I care least about: royalty; movie stars; overpaid athletes that are bad role models; lifelong politicians; reality shows; .......so far, it's a tie.

Maybe you should add Ruprecht to the list.

....and while you have been pleasantly diverted, and not taken up the bandwagon mantra of "I hate royalty, balh, blah, blah...", the event appears to have been outdone by the Town Crier, a one Tony Appleton, who while is a town crier, just not of London, crashed the "party", fooling everyone including well dressed SAS agents doing protective service duty, and made the announcement of the future King's birth. Gotta' love a people, a culture, and a tradition that creates this kind of chutzpa, and a country that knows how to take a joke.

Bravo Zulu to Tony, job very well done.
