Muela knives - because I like knife threads

Anyone else have any experience with these? I bought this one a couple of years ago; it is definitely a fine knife and does NOT cost what the Ruanas and Randalls cost:

They are made in Spain and are mass produced so you're not talking about 500 dollar handmade gems, just reasonable knives at reasonable prices. They are very highly rated on line and, interestingly, they use a steel that is different from most that we are familiar with.

I have one that a friend gave me a couple of years ago. It is sort of a combat knife with a plastic bayonet sheath, similar to what you’d find on a bayonet. The knife itself is sharp and beautifully finished and my son and I were just admiring it the other day.

I was given a Muela knife years ago. Has Ruko on one side of the blade and Muela on the other. Can't read what the blade is made of but has a rubber handle and does take a fine edge. And has a leather sheath. Frank

I was given one as a retirement gift. It's the one second from the top. Good knife and the steel seems to be very good. A little tough to sharpen, though.

In my country (Argentina) the Muela brand is quite popular, they are available without difficulty, they have inexpensive models and others quite expensive, but they do not compare with the price of a Puma or a Boker.
The material of the Muela is steel with molybdenum and vanadium, when they are new they have a very good edge, but when we have to sharpen them they give more work than 440 or 440C steel knives.
I have a Condor model Muela and I consider it a quality knife that combines beauty, good design and a very good finish and I have other smaller Muela that are far from looking like the Condor model.
